Hi Jimmy; Use the 12 volt side. Don't use a big charger that you use with cars on a small motorcyle battery, the heavy charge is not good for them. It's like using a 100 amp charger for a car. I use a 1 1/2 amp charger for the bike, I've had it for years and it's not big enough to hurt anything but will charge a small battery in a few hours.
